Central Mahajan Sabha appeals for mass cooperation to check COVID spread

JAMMU, Apr 28: A meeting of Central Mahajan Sabha, Jammu, was called and chaired by its president Romesh Chander Gupta, to discuss strategies for prevention of spread of Covid-19 in J&K and seek public support to check its further spread.
In the meeting, details of various united efforts to check the mass spread of Covid-19 were discussed at length. It was decided to make an appeal to the public in general and all the Biradaris, Sabhas, religious, political , cultural and social organizations, business communities, Shrine Boards and governing bodies of various Shrines to contribute in following the prescribed Covid SOPs/guidelines being issued by the government from time to time.
Romesh Chander Gupta said that Mahajan Sabha's ward members take it as national health emergency and their role should be as frontline warriors in the society. He also requested other NGOs, urban local bodies, Panchayats, Mohalla Committees for their role as it cannot be underestimated and hence they too need to come forward and educate the people about the need to strictly follow the SOPs.
Gupta said that the pandemic cannot be dealt by one but cooperation of every single person, irrespective of his caste, creed, colour gender and religious is must.
The meeting was attended by working committee members, office bearers of the Sabha. General Secretary Sanjay Mahajan, Harinder Gupta, Om Parkash Gupta, Shiv Pratap Gupta, Dr Mohan Lal Gupta, C.P Gupta, Subash Gupta, Balbir Gupta, Manu Gupta, Munish Gupta, Yash Pal Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Ashok Gupta and Mukesh Mahajan were also present in the meeting.
