Ramban, May 4: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Shamshad Shan today visited District Hospital, Ramban, to take stock of preparedness made by the Health Department to tackle surge in Covid positive cases in the district.
While interacting with the medical staff, the Chairperson appreciated the role of them in different aspects of Covid management besides providing proper treatment to Covid patients in the well equipped Covid Care Center, Ramban. She expressed her satisfactions over the health arrangements made by the District Administration.
The Chairperson also took the stock of implementation of SoPs and health facilities available in District Hospital Ramban. She also reviewed the stock position of medicines and medical oxygen cylinders besides directing Medical Superintendent, DH, Ramban, Dr. Abdul Hameed Zarger to ensure availability of oxygen for patients in adequate quantities.
She also took stock of progress on installation of Oxygen Generation Plant & MGPS (Medical Gas Pipeline System). The Medical Superintendent, DH apprised the Chairperson that work on the Oxygen Generation Plant is on verge of completion and it would start functioning soon.
The Chairperson also reviewed the progress on vaccination and directed officers of the Health Department to intensify the vaccination and Covid testing across the district. She also met with patients and enquired about healthcare services as well as facilities being provided by the Health Department to them.
Chief Medical Officer, Ramban, Dr. Fareed Baht and other senior doctors also present on the occasion.
