Jammu, May &: International MUN brings youth together from around the world to learn and share ideas from a diverse set of experiences and backgrounds in its Model United Nations conferences. IMUN has been sponsored and supported by the United Nations specialized organizations like UNDP, UNESCO, and IOM as well as by The Australian Embassy in Vietnam & Thailand. To be a delegate in these Events develops the horizon of minds to see a global picture in one room.
JSS Jammu takes pride in sharing that recently an aspiring event was organized by IMUN at international level in which Jammu Sanskrti School, Jammu stood glorious by winning titles in different committees. Delegates from Africa, Europe & Asia were the part of this event. Each committee comprised of more than 80 delegations from all over the world most of them belonging to college & universities making the competition very high leveled. 6 delegates of school including one teacher participated in this IMUN Online Conference 55.0 as delegates of UN women, UNICEF, UNFPA & UNDP.
Amber Bhatt (Portfolio: Nauru) got special mention in committee UN Women while Harsha Mattu (Portfolio: Slovenia) (PGT Geography) was rewarded with honourable mention in UNDP respectively. Students were trained and guided by Harsha Mattu PGT Geography, MUN & Youth Conclave Conference Incharge of the school. On their incredible success , Rohini Aima ,Principal cum Vice Chairperson , Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu congratulated students & encouraged them to focus more on different scopes of improvisation, adopting attitude in real life, working on real UN values and sustainable goals and wished them a great future.
