All J&K PoJK SIF demands CBI probe into illegal mining

JAMMU, May 7: All J&K 1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (SIF) called a meeting of its core committee members under the chairmanship of Amrik Singh and joined by Surjit Singh general secretary of the Forum.
The Forum urged upon the Lt Governor of J&K UT, Manoj Sinha to order CBI enquiry in the extraction of mining of sand, gravel and stones from the river Tawi and other flood channels where huge amount is being grabbed by the bureaucrats and high ups politicians by illegal means of mining which is the great concern.
The Forum further elaborated that since the entire tendering was conducted to outsiders with the malafide intention to pave the way to give undue benefits to where as local contractors were badly suffered and ignored in allotment process.
The members expressed that Art 370 and 35A was scraped by the Indian Parliament in the interest of the country but it’s situation got reversed and people were expecting to balancing the development in both the region because of to remove the disparity with Jammu region and for the speedy development of J&K UT, but here the matter is reversed.
They further said that after the formation of UT the corruption scenario has beaten all the past records which is matter of concern. The Forum reiterated that the similar situation is met out with the recent Excise policy.
And if the fair CBI enquiry is initiated the truth will come out and big fish will come on surface/ on public domain.
The prominent who attended the meeting included are Paramjit Singh Ex-Corporator, Inder Singh Sooden Corporator Ward No 44, Jagjit Singh, Kuldip Singh, Gursimran Singh, Bhajan Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Prof KD Singh and others.
