Early Times Report

Jammu, May 10: All J&K Youth Federation, Executive Committee Members held virtual meeting and demanded COVID vaccination and sample testing at door steps in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in a resolution passed in the meeting here today.
It was observed in the meeting that J&K is facing unexpected and acute hike in COVID cases from past 2 weeks, because of which the death graph is increasing and government is failing in its all aspects to protect the life of the people at this crucial time.
It was resolved that at this stage, government should take care of the Medical and health facilities instead of starting development project which are not required at the present stage. The money which is being sanctioned and used for various development work should now be utilized for medical facilities only.
On one hand people are advised for staying at home specially for senior citizens and on the other hand they have to visit vaccination centers for getting themselves vaccinated which is against the SOP’s norms, vaccination and sample testing should be done on door steps by engaging paramedical and medical students along with those government employees who are non- functional these days and every ward and panchayat should be covered by in this process.
The government buildings which are lying vacant even the private schools should be converted into isolation/COVID ward as now the government hospitals are unable to cope with the situation due to lack of availability of beds and space.
Prominent among those who joined the virtual meeting were Arjun Sharma, Adv. Fazal-ul-Haq Choudhary, Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu, Er. Gourav Salotra, Nakul Sharma, Adv. Haroon Rashid, Dr. Pankaj Malhotra, Adv.Romaan Showket Manhas, Shah Nawaz Khaki, Rahul Dev Singh, Er. Akshay Raina, Sahil Jamwal, Thakur Mandeep Singh, Er. Ankit Sharma, Imran Farhaat.
