GDC RS Pura organizes to mark National Technology Day

JAMMU, May 11:
Department of Computer Applications, GDC RS Pura, in collaboration with the College Cultural Committee under the aegis of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav ' and guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr GS Rakwal organized a webinar to celebrate National Technology Day. Rajat Jain, Chief Manager, SBI was the keynote speaker on the occasion. The event started with a welcome note by Prof Amit Singh. He asked the audience to pledge to contribute towards Science and Technology through dedicated hard work for a sustainable future of our motherland. The Head of the Department of Computer Application, Prof Neha Jain, through her presentation shared some data about the country's journey in technological advancements from ancient times to present date. She also shared some data about the status of various industrial technologies in India and the Policy support to them by the Government of India. Rajat Jain highlighted the fact that Banks have traditionally been in the forefront of harnessing technology to improve their products, services and efficiency.
Advancements in Banking Technology are important for the growth of economy and for a sustainable future. He told about the technological evolution of the banking system of India since Independence and also presented the role of banking technology in strengthening the economy and promising a sustainable future.
The Principal of the college, Dr Rakwal thanked the keynote speaker for his informative talk and also said that banking technology is the backbone of the economy of the country and the citizens should be made aware of the advancements in this technology so that they can be better utilized and contribute towards a sustainable future. The webinar concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof Neha Jain.
