SIF expresses concern over alarming COVID situation

JAMMU, May 11: All J&K 1947 POJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (SIF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Adv Amrik Singh. The meeting among others was joined by Surjit Singh, general secretary of the Forum.
In the meeting, the Forum while expressing its concern over the alarming situation of corona virus spike said that the UT administration is sleeping at large.
The members said that the prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing, adding that the retail shopkeepers along with the Rehriwalas are looting the common man
The cost of the grocery and fresh fruit has gone up ten times than the govt fixed rates.
The Forum has taken it very seriously and warned the stock hoarders and black marketers not to take the undue benefit of the present situation.
The Forum urged upon the Lt Governor to personally intervene and depute the vigilance staff to check the hoarders and black marketers.
The Forum reiterated that it is the moral duty of the govt to take care of the public at this crucial time and also take strict action against the profiteers and stock hoarders.
The meeting was also attended by Inder Singh Soodan Corporator, Paramjit Singh vice president and ex-Corporator, Nasib Singh, Prof KD Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Joginder Vaid, Krishna Chander Karan Sharma, Rajesh Sharma and others.
