Early Times Report

REASI, May 19: The Covid wards of different hospitals, despite seeing agony and struggle of patients, are also witnessing unfolding of unique stories of Para medical staff spreading smiles among the patients.
A real Covid warrior, Staff Nurse, Manju Devi in District Hospital Reasi said, "If we can just be courteous to our patients and their attendants, it fills them with hope. The biggest worry I see on their faces is whether the treatment is going on well. So we try to be communicative with repeated reassures."
She said that sometimes they face anger from patients and their attendants but that is a part of their job. We can’t give up till all the patients recover fully and the pandemic ends. “We also keep on educating the attendants about Covid SOPs and avoid going to Covid wards because they can also get the infection and spread it elsewhere” she added. She appealed to all the attendants to be extra cautious and avoid eating and roaming in and around the hospitals without a mask because they can become the carriers of the Virus unknowingly.
