5/20/2021 11:51:33 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, May 20: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and social activist Gurmeet Singh has welcomed the decision of the Kejriwal government in Delhi for providing special assistance to children and families of Covid victims.
Gurmeet Singh said that AAP’s Jammu unit also demands from the JK UT government to provide financial assistance to the covid victims of the state on the lines of Kejriwal government.
He said that the pandemic had a devastating effect, leaving many children without parents and many of families without their breadwinners. That in this hour of grief, AAP National Convenor and CM Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has made all efforts to save the lives of the people and also to provide compensation and monthly pension to the families of Covid-19 victims along with free education for children who’ve lost both parents to the disease.
Singh added that for the encouragement of the corona warriors who are standing in the front line fighting against the epidemic the state government should announce special insurance and incentive amount for them.
He urged the JK UT Government to establish Mohalla clinics as they not only help in picking up the symptomatic cases of Covid-19 but also prevent the other patients visiting hospitals from contracting the Covid-19. He also appealed to the people to follow all SOPs issued by the government in view of the prevailing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and to come forward for the vaccination.
