Distributes PPE kits among crematorium workers

JAMMU, May 20: To mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) today distributed PPE kits among the workers at various cremation grounds involved in doing the pious act of cremating the dead bodies in the wake of second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
These kits were procured by JKPYC president, Udhay Bhanu Chib and the Youth Congress team led by Sunny Jatt, Assembly Youth Congress President Raipur Domana conducted the smooth distribution of the aforesaid kits that are life saviours for the workers risking their lives in the ongoing pandemic.
Udhay Bhanu Chib, while lauding the workers of cremation grounds for their selfless contribution to the society amidst Covid pandemic, said, “I salute the volunteers along with other workers out there at various cremation grounds across Jammu who least bothering about their life as well as the risk to their families, are offering the most significant services of cremating the dead bodies of COVID-19 victims.
Meanwhile the JKPYC President while paying rich tributes to the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary highlighted his contribution to the nation’s development and transformation.
He said that in the prevailing pandemic situation the greatest tribute by the youth to the great national leader would be to offer selfless services to the needy and poor especially to the families of COVID victims.
He appealed to the people to stay at home and observe all Covid SOPs and guidelines very strictly as this would go a long way in winning the crucial battle against the pandemic which has already taken a heavy toll of people across the nation.
Uday Chib assured the people that Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress along with its dedicated team of workers and activists will always stand with the people in this hour of unprecedented crisis.
