JKTF demands pensionary benefits for kin of deceased teachers, masters

Jammu, May 20: An emergency virtual meeting was held today under chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, JKTF in which state apex body, provincial president and all distt and zonal presidents of Jammu province participated.
The meeting was convened to condole the untimely demise of the teachers, masters, lecturers and the staff of directorate of school education due to the deadly disease covid-19.
All these teachers and officials of the DSEJ were presently rendering their services. In a statement issued by the Chairman and other prominent leaders, the JKTF family has expressed deep sorrow and shock over the tragic demise of these teachers.
They expressed their solidarity with their bereaved families who have lost their beloved ones to Covid. Two- minute silence was also observed to pay obeisance to the teachers who have lost their lives not only in our UT but also in the entire country.
Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum stands by the families in this hour of grief and agony of those teachers who have lost their precious lives untimely.
In the virtual meeting, threadbare discussion was held for providing relief to their next of kins benefit under SRO-43 and full pensionary benefits to the teachers who have succumbed to this deadly disease. Ganesh Khajuria urged the commissioner secretary, School Education, B.K. Singh to direct the officers of the School Education Department to expedite their cases of SRO-43 and full pensionary benefits to these teachers at an earliest who have lost their lives so that their family members do not suffer due to the loss of their bread earners.
