Poonch, May 20: An emergent meeting of Saremastaan Tribal Welfare Foundation was held today where heads of different NGOs participated. Session was held under the chairmanship of Pardeep Khanna. Detailed discussions were held to chalk out plan for future course of action.
It was decided unanimously that all the NGOs will work together in unison to ensure that the elders should be vaccinated on priority. They also took pledge to render help to covid patients and their families by providing them Meals, medicines and other necessary things needed to fight the COVID19.
The session came out with a decision that all the local NGOs will work under the umbrella of “Poonch Ittihaad” and will ensure that the local Population get all the basic facilities during pandemic and thereafter.
They also offered their help and cooperation to the DT administration in fighting the Pandemic.
Poonch Ithaad nominated two members who will coordinate between the NGOs and DT administration.
Further, Poonch Ithaad requested the DC that these NGOs should be given an opportunity to serve the people of this border district of Poonch instead of inviting outside NGOs by providing them financial assistance.
