DDC Kishtwar chairs meet with BDC’s , DDC’s

Kishtwar, May 24: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired an interactive meeting with the BDC chairpersons,DDC members and concerned District Officers here at conference hall, DC office Kishtwar and discussed the current Covid-19 scenario in the district.
BDC chairpersons, DDC members, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma,Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Zakir wani ,CMO Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas besides other Concerned officers remained present in the meeting.
During the meeting a threadbare discussion regarding the current COVID care scenario in the district was held and slew of directions were passed to the concerned.
CMO Kishtwar informed the house that at present due to the stringent COVID care measure undertaken by the District administration the tally of active cases in the district has been curtailed out of which majority of the cases are under home isolation and all of them are asymptomatic, besides medicine kits including pulse oximeter are also being provided to them by the designated teams as per the instruction of Hon’ble LG UT of JK and on the direction of DC Kishtwar.
Regarding bed capacity the DC informed that district has augmented sufficient bed capacity at different levels. Adding to this he said that there is no dearth of oxygen supply, besides supply is being daily monitored by the concerned.
Laying stress on the early establishment of 5 bedded isolation centres at each panchayat, he directed the CMO kishtwar on prioritizing far flung areas for establishing these centres, besides ensuring availability of all requisite facilities for the patients including proper ventilation, beds, oxygen support, necessary medical kits, linkage with nearest healthcare centres, referral linkage with dedicated Covid health centres & hospitals, availability of tele-medicine facilities, power backup and other basic facilities.
In this regard he sought the cooperation of all the PRI members to play a proactive role in the establishment and operationalisation of 5- bedded COVID care isolation facilities in each panchayats.
Regarding vaccination, the DC informed that in order to initiate vaccination on larger level the vaccination is being conducted at the panchayat level and are direct monitored by concerned tehsildar and BDOs.
He urged the BDCs and DDC members to come forward,identify the leftout persons above 45 yrs of age and enlist them so that cent percent vaccination is achieved for the effective befitting of the pandemic.
In the meeting PRIs members lauded the efforts of the District Administration for effective and timely Covid response measures amid second wave of the COVID19 and thereby ensuring the safety of people.
Meanwhile in the meeting the issue regarding the restoration of the road and telecommunication facility in the far flung areas of Dachhan Marwah and warwan were also highlighted.
DC kishtwar assured that the snow clearance and restoration work on the kishtwar-sinthan byepass is in full swing and is expected to be completed soon besides he added that the telecommunication facility in the far off areas of Marwah and warwan will be completed within a month so that the problems of the people could be mitigated on war footing basis.
