RSS leader, his PSO, others booked for assaulting women; video goes viral

Kishtwar, May 24: A video involving a senior RSS functionary cum government teacher beating the women and other people in Panditgam area of Kishtwar district has gone viral. The RSS functionary is seen beating the people over an alleged dispute involving raising of a wall by a family of a retired army man .
According to the details available with Early Times, Kishtwar Police registered FIR No.107 U/S 451,323,504, 506,146,427 against Sanjay Kumar and his PSO after the video of the incident surfaced. In the video Kumar /C Province Doda/Kishtwar along with his PSO could be seen assaulting women and men. The video was recorded by a minor child of the victim family indentified as Som Nath from Tagood.
The RSS leader who is attached at Kishtwar also runs a private school and the video of the incident has sent a shock waves among the common people of Kishtwar who have condemn the incident.
Speaking to Early Times, the victim Som Nath and his family demanded immediate arrest of the accused RSS leader as well as his PSO and other persons involved in the crime.
“I urge RSS leadership to expel Sanjay Sharma from the organization. He doesn’t deserve to be the part of the organisation that has set the precedence of being a social organisation active world wide,” said Som Nath. “I have also sent a message to senior RSS functionaries intimating them about the unfortunate incident. This is the conspiracy to prevent non locals from availing house in Kishtwar,” he added.
Meanwhile, senior police officials confirmed the registration of an FIR against the RSS leader and his PSO. “Law will take its own course,” he added.
