Jammu, May 24: Som Nath Verma Incharge Kathua District OBC Deptt Pradesh Congress Committee J&K, distributed dry ration, masks to the needy people during lockdown relaxation period at Hiranagar Jammu.The distribution drive was conducted under the directions of Ghulam Ahmed Mir President JKPCC Tamradhwaj Sahu, chairman OBC Deptt All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Suresh Kumar Dogra, Chairman OBC Deptt.PCCJ&K
Dogra said that “the distribution of masks, medicines and food to the needy and poor shall be a continuing process by my team in different districts of Jammu region.”
He expressed his grave concern over the shortage of oxygen, vaccines, beds and medical facilities to deal with the second and third wave of Covid-19 pandemic which has taken a giant shape.
He said that it is very tough time, Government needs to deal it with full dedication, adding that the labourers, transporters and daily wagers are the main sufferers during this time so cash relief should be provided to this economically weak class. Dogra urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to deal with the problems in much responsible way. He also welcomed the extension of lockdown period in some districts of J&K.
