DC Ramban inspects progress of work on Maitra Bridge

RAMBAN, May 24: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today visited the construction site of 270 meter bridge over river Chenab at Maitra and inspected pace of work. He also inspected the implementation of corona curfew in the Ramban town.
The DC was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, besides Engineers and representatives of Construction Company.
After a brief discussion held on the issues pertaining to construction work of being constructed by the PWD at an estimated cost of Rs 43 crore under languishing project scheme, the DC directed concerned departments to resolve all bottlenecks for hassle free execution of work.
The DC also directed the executing agency to speed up the construction work to complete the project in a stipulated time. He assured full cooperation from District Administration to complete this important bridge project. He also inspected the site for relocating the electric poles that fall under the alignment of the bridge.
Later, the DC also inspected implementation of Corona curfew in the Ramban town and reviewed the status of essential services.
The DC also directed the law enforcement agencies to provide smooth passage to the patients, healthcare workers and other government employees. He urged the people to strictly follow all the guidelines and precautions amid the pandemic.
