| Mayor kick starts development works in ward No 33 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 26: Continuing his endeavour to provide better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta today kick started the construction work of deep drains at lower Shiv Nagar Jammu of ward no.33.Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that the first part of this deep drain has already been completed and its second part has today been started within allotted amount of Rs. 9.77 lacs only as the inhabitants were facing great hardships due to overflowing of dirty water and cow dung of the milk dairies situated here.
He further told that atleast two SKC’s have been specially deployed in this particular lane for sanitation & cleaning of cow dung of the milk dairies & after the construction of the remaining portion of the deep drain the locals will be benefited a lot & water from upper side to down wards will flow smoothly. Ashish bhasin , Assistant Executive Engineer, Susheel Magotra Junior Engineer & other supervisory staff of engineering wing of JMC, Naseeb Raj, Balvinder Kumar , Raj kumar, krishan lal, Karan Sharma & other prominent inhabitants of the ward were also remained present during the tour . Mayor directed the concerned engineering staff & contractor to complete the work by applying best quality & durable construction materials & upto the satisfaction of locals within stipulated time frame well before the coming raining season. He told that JMC is committed with the cooperation of all the councilors to provide best possible development & civic amenities to its citizens in terms of blacktopping , LED street lights , open Air Gyms in every ward of the city as well as major development works under “Smart City Project” so that Jammu can be made neat , clean and green city. |
