GDC Doda organizes national webinar

Doda, May 27: One Day National Webinar was organized by the Department of English Govt. Degree College Doda under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College.
The Chief Organizer of the webinar was Manjeet Singh Assistant Professor Department of English GDC Doda. In his introductory speech, he greeted the keynote speaker and all the participants across the country.
The webinar was based on the topic “Literature, Life, Lockdown”. The event was organized under the patronage of Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi, Principal of the College. The keynote speaker of the webinar was Mr Tanvir Ahmed Assistant Professor Department of English Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri (J&K).
Despite being a scholar of English Literature, he has keen interest in using technology to enhance the learning process. As such the whole country is reeling under lockdown, he oriented us about the importance of literature in life by citing numerous examples. Applauding the efforts of the organizing team Principal GDC Doda Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi extended his warm thanks to the participants.
He further talked about the importance of digital tools in disseminating the knowledge among the students in this time of Pandemic. Many faculty members, research scholars, and students across India have participated in the webinar via Zoom Meet. The formal vote of thanks was given by Mohd Abass. Others who graced the occasion were Prof Falak, Head Department of English, Dr Ajaz Ahmed Wani, Co-Ordinator IQAC and Head Department of Zoology and Dr Attied Balwan.
