| Create transformer bank for both regions | | | Jammu, May 27: Citizen's Forum welcome LG Manoj Sinha’s setting 8-hour deadline for replacing damaged transformers in urban areas and 48 hours in rural areas.
This order if implemented will mitigate the miseries of people during scorching heat of summers in Jammu and other hot areas of J&K UT. R K Chadha president Citizen's forum request LG Manoj Sinha to create a transformer bank for both the regions with minimum 500 transformers each to be used instantly at the time of requirement. We had some times back demanded same Bank from former chief minister Mufti Moh. Sayeed and he immediately placed order for 300 transformers which proved a boon to some extent for common people of Jammu region in hot summers.
The quality of the transformers purchased was compromised. Thousands of crores is spent in making PDD supply uninterrupted in Jammu region every year for the last 5 years but one breeze converts blackout for entire Jammu. |
