DLSA Reasi organizes webinar on women protection Act

REASI, May 27: The District Legal Service Authority, Reasi, today organised a Legal Awareness Webinar themed Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005” here under the guidance and supervision of R.N.Wattal, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi in collaboration with Government Degree Colleges of Reasi, Dharmari and Bagga.
Advocate Ajay Salaria , who is one of our Panel Advocates was the Resource person whereas Advocate Shazia Punjabi acted as a Moderator in the said Webinar. Advocate Suneel Sharma from Katra also spoke on the occasion. The Principals, Faculty Members and the Students of all the above said Colleges and PLVs of District Reasi attended this online programme.
The Resource person threw light on the historical background, the aims and objectives and the protections available to the Aggrieved Woman under the Act.
Helpline numbers for providing Legal Aid and support to Woman victims and children in District Reasi also got shared through this Webinar.
The main objective of organising this Online programme was to inform the participants about the rights of Women guaranteed under the Constitution who are victims of violence of any kind occurring within the family.
