Dir Sheep husbandry inspects Sheep breeding Farm Panthal

JAMMU, May 27: Director, Sheep Husbandry, Jammu, Krishan Lal on Thursday visited Government Sheep Breeding Farm, Panthal and reviewed its functioning.
During the visit, the Director stressed on filed functionaries to put extra efforts for development of Sheep and Goat Sector.
The department has a major role in development of small ruminants sector to upgrade the socio-economic status of rural masses of the Union Territory, he said.
The Director also inspected infrastructure of the farm and asked the departmental functionaries to manage their farms on modern scientific lines so that they serve as role model for the private breeders. This will on the other hand help in development of livestock sector of UT, he added. He was accompanied by Dr. Tara Chand, Joint Director (Farms), Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu.
