Randhawa tenders unconditional apology to Dr Jitendra for levelling false allegations

jAMMU, May 28: Ahead of the hearing by the Patiala House Court Delhi tomorrow for the IPC criminal suit and defamation suit of Rs One crore against him, Vikram Randhawa, Ex -MLC, today tendered an unconditional apology to Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh for the false allegations made by him on the 3rd of this month.
At a Press Conference, Randhawa read out a written note of apology in which he admitted that he had no evidence to prove the allegations made by him and that the allegations were absolutely false and baseless. He also gave an undertaking that he would in future never mention this topic on any media or public platform.
The written note read out by Vikram Randhawa at the press conference said, “The allegations made by me against Dr Jitendra Singh during the press conference on 3rd May were absolutely false and I was misguided to make these allegations without verifying. However, after I verified through my sources, I realised that these allegations were absolutely false and baseless. Hence, I have no evidence to prove the charges made by me against Dr Jitendra Singh. I therefore tender my unconditional apology for having made these allegations and also apologise to Dr Jitendra Singh and his family for hurting their feelings. I also give an undertaking that I shall not discuss this matter in future on any media or public platform. I have the deepest respect for Dr Jitendra Singh. I also respect him for his honesty, dedication and intellect. I reiterate my sincere unconditional apology to him”.
Delhi based Panel of Advocates headed by Advocate Jeevesh Nagrath and comprising Advocates Narender Mann, Chandan Dutta and Manoj Pant representing the Petitioner, will respond in the Court after the Affidavit of Apology is submitted on behalf of Vikram Randhawa.
Advocate Rajat Gupta represented the Delhi based counsellors of the petitioner at Jammu.
