Jammu, May 28: Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu has preferred his wife ignoring senior professors for nomination of Campus Cultural Committee (CCC).
Insiders told Early Times the VC picked two junior professors for the post of chairperson and co-chairperson for JU CCC and he deliberately ignored senior faculty members.
“Every year the JU nominates chairperson, co-chairperson including other members as governing body for cultural & literary activities. This year Prof Vishav Raksha, Department of Sociology has been nominated as chairperson and Prof Sanjana Koul, department of Biotechnology as co-chairperson”, sources said.
They further said while nominating the new body for year 2021-22 senior facility members were ignored, serial no.72 of seniority list has been nominated as chairperson, while for co-chairperson at least one hundred senior professors, were bypassed.
“Prof Sanjana Koul, wife of V-C Prof Manoj Dhar was promoted as Professor 2-years ago to pave the way for her, the V-C picked Prof Vishav Raksha as chairperson”, they said.
“As per the regulations governing Cultural & Literary Activities of the campus Vice- Chancellor, University of Jammu has been pleased to nominate the following members to work on the Campus Cultural committee 2021-22. Prof Visha Rakhsa as chairperson and Prof Sanjana Koul as co-chairperson,” reads the copy of notification issued by Dean Students Welfare vide no. JU/DSW/2021-22/62-132, dated 27/05/2021.
Apart from chairperson and co-chairperson, 26 members and six ex-officio members have been nominated.
