Three days’ COVID 19 awareness campaign organized

Ramnagar, May 28: NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Ramnagar organizes a series of the activities in connection with three days’ COVID 19 awareness campaign under the patronship of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal and guidance of Prof Ritika Mahajan, NSS Programme Officer of GDC Ramnagar.
The NSS volunteers of the college participated in the activities with great zeal and enthusiasm to combat COVID 19 through online medium. The purpose of the campaign was to circulate the awareness related the need of vaccination, to bust fake news and myths related COVID 19 and necessary SOPs.
On day one an inter-college slogan writing event on the topic ‘Go Corona Go’ was held where the students send their photographs with their written slogans and also circulated them on the social media accounts Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
On day two volunteers posted their videos on the social platforms where they circulated the message appealing to the local masses about the necessary precautions and for immunization. On day three NSS volunteers of GDC Ramnagar joined ‘Young Warrior Movement’, a joint initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Ministry of Health and Welfare, Yuwaah-UNICEF.
As such, more than 100 registrations of the volunteers and students of college joined the initiative and took pledge regarding service towards society to combat COVID 19 using online social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, whatsapp groups and Instagram.
