COVID kits provided to all 229 Panchayat level Covid care centres in Poonch

POONCH, May 28: To provide the necessary medical facilities to the corona care centres for the convenience of the covid positive patients in the rural areas, the District Administration Poonch today distributed the COVID kits among all the 229 Panchayat level Covid Care Centres in the district.
The distribution of the COVID Care material was done under the close monitoring and overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration has set up the Panchayat Covid care centres at the doorsteps of the rural population as many people in rural areas were hesitant to visit the health institutions, and used to arrive in institutions for medical advice after developing severe symptoms.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that Panchayat COVID-care centres have been equipped with requisite healthcare facilities and amenities including drinking water, ventilation, along with linkages with Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs), besides availability of medicines and regular doctor’s consultation.
The Panchayat level teams have also been provided with the contact numbers of the Doctors deployed for Tele Medication and Tele consultation.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that concrete measures are being taken to mitigate the pandemic in the rural areas besides he also sought the cooperation of the general public in this regard.
On the occasion, Nodal officer, COVID 19, Zamood Ahmed, Principal DIET, Khushvinder Singh, Nodal Officer for Covid Care centre material distribution, Anwar Khan, besides other officers were present.
