DODA, May 28: Medical College Doda will soon have its own oxygen supply as the upcoming 750 LPM Oxygen Generation Plant is ready for commissioning.
The information was given by Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma here at a press briefing on the covid care and management scenario in the District. The DC informed the district was going to have more such facilities as the Detailed Project Reports are being framed for an additional 1000 LPM oxygen generation plant for GMC Doda and 500 LPM each for health institutions in Bhaderwah and Gandoh.
Elaborating further, he said Covid Care facility has been established in all 237 Panchayats of the district (DC Doda) to benefit rural people in the event of any emergency.
The DC claimed that the district has also witnessed a gradual decline in positivity rate and further increase in recovery rate with 703 covid patients disgorged in May after full recovery.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the people to follow Covid appropriate behavior, while informing that the Medical fraternity was working tirelessly to achieve the targets of Vaccination, He said around 60% 45 plus population has been inoculated and appealed to others to come forward for vaccination to achieve the 100% target.
With regard to other control measures, the DC informed that the testing has been intensified across the district due to which a number of cases have been detected and treated with timely intervention by the health department. He said medicine kits and tele consultation are being provided to the people in home isolation.
