He was giving periodic briefings on the prevailing Covid situation and measures taken to contain the spread besides giving a brief account of the initiatives to speed up Vaccination in the district.
The DC disclosed that the district has registered a recovery rate of 88.59% which shows an improvement of over 6% within one week.

The DC said special Vaccination drives are being conducted to speed up the Vaccination especially in hilly areas of Basohli and Bani. He said efforts are also being made to open more Vaccination centres to benefit the maximum number of targeted population. He appealed to people of Bani and Basohli to visit nearest Vaccination centres and get vaccinated. On opening of Rural Covid Care Centres, the DC said all 257 Panchayats have established 5- Bedded Covid Care Centres and efforts are being made to equip each such centre with at least One Oxygenated Bed at the earliest.
