Jammu, June 2: Even as authorities of Government Medical College Jammu are claiming to release a selection list of Nursing Supervisors for newly constructed 500-bedded DRDO hospital but the biggest question is about criteria adopted for the selection process.
It is alleged that taking undue advantage of the emergent situation, authorities of GMC Jammu have managed adjustment of some blue-eyed boys. Although GMC authorities have put a selection list on its website, some candidates alleged favourtism in the selection process.

While as candidates who have applied for post of para-medial staff in DRDO hospital are asking the GMC authorities to reveal criteria adopted in selection process, another candidate who have applied for the post of Microbiologist Research Scientist has lodged written complaint in the grievance cell of the Lieutenant Governor against favouritism in selection. The candidate has alleged that proper criteria and norms were violated while making selection of Microbiologist Research Scientists in GMC Jammu.

An advertisement read that a walk-in-interview shall also, be conducted for newly created posts of Medical Officers (35 posts) and the date of the interview is scheduled May 24, 2021, at Committee Room GMC Jammu at 11 am. Similarly, two other separate advertisements are inviting the applications for the posts which include Nursing Supervisor (16), Junior Staff Nurse (195), Pharmacist (47), Lab Technician (12) and X-Ray Technician (08) under different pay scales with prescribed eligibility criteria and age limit for any given post.
Candidates have reasons to raise question about criteria adopted in the whole selection process.
Because selection such a huge number of candidates in a week’s time, in a transparent and fair manner, is not possible.
