ADMO, SDM organize COVID-19 awareness camp at Dhaggar

BANI, June 8: An awareness camp was held here today at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Dhaggar to educate people about the significance of Covid appropriate behaviour during the ongoing pandemic.
The camp was organized by ADMO Kathua Dr. Ajay Tickoo and SDM Bani Joginder Singh Jasrotia in consonance with and as per the directions from Director ISM Dr. Mohan Singh, an Awareness camp.
During the daylong camp AYUSH kits were provided to Ward Members of Panchayat Dhaggar in the presence of Sarpanch Amir Chand for self care and further distribution among those COVID positive patients within the jurisdiction of their Panchayat who are undergoing home isolation.
Dr. Ritu Singh Thakur handed over these kits to the ward members during a simple but impressive programme.
While addressing the gathering the gathering in which all COVID SOPs were strictly followed by one and all, Dr Ritu Singh said, today we are faced with an unprecedented situation due to COVID-19-Pandemic and such tough times can be overcome by every individual playing his due role to achieve success in the crucial battle. She said that people must understand that only strict adherence to Covid SOPs and vaccination are the weapons that can defeat the deadly virus and as such it is the people who will have to ensure that SOPs are followed sacredly.
Dr Ritu said that the administration especially the health functionaries are relentlessly working on ground not only treating the COVID-19 patients but also providing other related services like distribution of immunity boosters, masks and sanitizers and last but not the least running vaccination campaigns at the centres.

Expressing satisfaction over the people's inclination to adhere to the Covid SOPs in the area she made a fervent appeal to them to get themselves vaccinated against the deadly virus at the earliest. She asserted that this is the only way to defeat the invisible enemy sooner than later.
