| Power cuts in summer season a matter of concern: Sat | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 8: Deputations hailing from various wards of Jammu West Assembly segment met former State President BJP and apprised him of the problems being faced by the residents concerning frequent power cuts and low voltage in their areas. People hailing from Wards 16,17 and 18 met the BJP leader and asked him to immediately intervene in the matter in order to avoid public distress.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that a fruitful discussion was held with the locals and it was brought to his notice that there are areas which are facing problems of frequent power cuts and there are some areas which are facing the problem of low voltage as well.
He said the problems of the people have been informed to the concerned officials of the Power department and it will be seen that their problems are solved on priority as power cuts in summer season are a matter of great concern and such a thing should not happen in such a time when electricity is required most.
He stated that more than majority areas in Jammu West have proper connectivity concerning power but the areas which require immediate attention must be looked at on priority and the department must ensure that the problems of people are solved on priority so that they do not face any type of problem in the season of scorching summers. He also asked the department to check the status of other areas also concerning power. He also appealed to the masses to remain cautious and follow all the safety measures to avoid the spread of Covid 19.
