FOB Udhampur organizes webinar

UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Udhampur, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India in coordination with District Information Centre, Udhampur today organized a webinar on 'Clean Environment, Green Environment' as a part of Swach Bharat Mission involving the top district officials and officials of Nehru Yuva Kendra.
The webinar completely focused on the various initiatives taken at district level vis-à-vis 'Swach Bharat Mission' for a clean & green environment.
In her introductory address, Neha Jalali, Head of Office, ROB J&K and Ladakh, said that the biggest aim of conducting this webinar is to spread awareness among the masses related to the various initiatives taken by the Government of India under Swach Bharat Mission, its goals and objectives. She further said that the social media has played a pivotal role to create awareness and has enabled a mass participation towards a clean & green environment following Swach Bharat Mission.
Khushal Gupta, District Youth Officer, NYK, Udhampur in his address said that NYK is one of the largest youth organisations in the world and it's area of focus has also been the sanitation and cleanliness. He further said that the youth involved in NYK in the district have played a pivotal role towards mass awareness related to Swach Bharat Mission activities.
Jugnu Bhagat, President Shine Youth Club, Doda said that the training programs, workshops must be organised at different levels so that the people are trained who will then spread awareness related to the importance of sanitation and cleanliness. Despite serious challenges especially at the grassroots level, PRIs can play an important role as people are directly involved with them at the panchayat levels and follow them in letter and spirit.
Anjali Sharma, National Youth Volunteer, Udhampur gave her address regarding motivation of rural population regarding cleanliness and sanitation.
Besides officers, NYK activists and students, the webinar was attended by District Information Officer, Udhampur Ateeksha Sethi, Media & Communications Officer, Press Information Bureau, Jammu, Sheikh Mudasir Amin, in charge FOB, Rajouri, Gurnaam Singh, in charge FOB Kathua, Vijay Matoo, Field Publicity Officer, Anantnag, Shahid Mohamad Lone & Field Exhibition Officer, Jammu, Adil Shameem Andrabi.
The webinar was moderated by Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer and the vote of thanks was presented by District Information Officer, Udhampur, Ateeksha Sethi.
