BJP aghast over unabated killings of party workers in Kashmir
8/10/2021 12:50:36 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 9: Desperately waiting for an opportunity to complain against arrogant bureaucrats, the J&K unit of BJP on Monday sounded the Union Government against officers who are not taking BJP leaders seriously.
Highly placed sources said that within minutes after the gruesome killing of party leader Ghulam Rasool Dar (Sarpanch) and his wife Jawahira, the J&K unit of BJP leaders informed the Centre that the administration of J&K has made party leaders as sitting ducks in Kashmir Valley.
Wishing anonymity, a senior BJP leader said that the party has repeatedly asked the administration to provide security of Kashmir-based BJP leaders but to no avail. He alleged that arrogant bureaucrats were not ready to listen to their repeated requests.
During the past, some months of selective killing of BJP leaders have been going unabated in Kashmir Valley. “Selective killing of our workers is an act of frustration by these elements who find it difficult to digest BJP’s strengthen network in different parts of Kashmir Valley”, the leader said and added that a group within the administration was not taking politicians seriously.
“Selective killing of our worker after repeated intervals has raised many questions but authorities are still in deep slumber”, he said and expressed surprise that even after the passing of six months, the government has failed to solve the killings of BJP leaders in the Valley.
Interestingly J&K government is spending a whopping amount worth Rs 10 crore every month to provide security to politicians but second-rung leaders of most of the parties are still without any security.
