| GDC Ukhral organizes webinar | | |

UKHRAL, Aug 9: GDC Ukhral organized the webinar on "The Role of Urdu in Freedom Struggle of India" which focused on the uncontested significance of Urdu and its stellar role in the freedom struggle.
The webinar was joined by more than hundred students. During the conference, attendees shared opinions, thoughts and suggestions on the occasion.
The programme highlighted the unique contribution of Urdu in becoming the voice of change which kindled the fire of freedom during the freedom movement. The principal of the college, Dr Ranvijay Singh, while inaugurating the seminar, discussed the instrumental role of Urdu and its contribution to the construction of nation building.
The second session of the webinar was followed by distribution of prizes among the best speakers where Prof. Zakir Hussain and Prof Iftikhar Hussain were the jury members. The first prize winner was Rukaiya Manzoor.
The second prize winners were Narjala Devi and Abdul Qadeer Bali and the third prize winners were Shabina Shamas and Kikar Singh. The programme was signed off with The National Anthem Of India.
The whole programme was conducted and ensured by Dr Shafiq Ahmad Katoch.
