AKHNOOR, Aug 9: Celebrating 75th Independence Day of India, Department of Political Science, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Namrata, GDC Akhnoor organized a webinar on the topic "Women's Contribution in Indian Freedom Struggle".
In the webinar, students and faculty members from different colleges joined the session. It began with the introductory remarks by Dr. Namrata, Principal, GDC Akhnoor, who, inter-alia, threw light on various aspects of independence struggle launched by Indian during pre-independence era. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science. The aim of the webinar was to create awareness amongst the students towards the role and contribution of Women in Indian Freedom struggle and in the development of country after independence. There was a healthy question answer session after the lecture. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Piyush Kant Sharma, Assistant Professor, Political Science, GDC Akhnoor. |
