First group of Week-long JKAS offline training concludes at J&K IMPARD

JAMMU, Aug 22: The Week-long Training of JKAS probationers Batch 2019 at J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development, Jammu concluded today with a simple but impressive valedictory programme.
The course was mainly evaluatory in nature, during which various activities were scheduled for the purpose of evaluation including presentations, writing skill test, Term paper, Cultural and Sports activities, Physical training activities, Director General's Interaction and written examination.
DG IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat interacted with all the officer trainees and apprised them about various initiatives taken by IMPARD towards their quality training.
The officer trainees also got opportunity to interact with B.R Sharma, Chairman JKPSC and Manoj Dwivedi, Commissioner/ Secretary GAD during the course. Officer trainees also participated in various Cultural and Sports activities including Poetry, Singing, Rangoli making, Cross Country, Shot put, Tug of War etc.
Amjad Keen and Ms. Ateeksha won in Poetry and Singing competitions. From Sports category, Mayank Sharma and Monika Sambyal stood first in Cross Country from boys and girls category respectively. Faisal Nagir won in Chess whereas Siddharth Dubey and Roohi Khajuria won in Table tennis, from boys and girls category respectively.
Rahul Sharma from boys category and Peunika Marwaha from girls category got first position in Shot put.
In carrom, Sashank Padha and Sonia Parihar stood first. In Rangoli making activity, three groups of officer trainees depicted different themes like National Integration, Savan ka Mahina (Month of Monsoon) and Save Girl Child, which were highly appreciated by Director General and all the faculty members of IMPARD, Jammu.
Manik Singh Rathode was selected as the best All-rounder Officer Trainee from the group.
The events were held in presence of Director Training IMPARD, Prof. Reva Sharma, Course Coordinators Dr. Neena Bhalla and Dr. Ruchi Gupta and Physical Instructor, Nirmal Singh and other staff members of IMPARD Jammu. Besides, officer trainees also went for nature-walk to Manda Wildlife Sanctuary where they were also acquainted with the functioning of the Department of Forest and Wildlife Protection, J&K.
Prof Reva Sharma, in her Valedictory address, appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the officer trainees during the course.
