GDC Billawar organizes national webinar

BILLAWAR, Aug 28: A national webinar on "Responsibility and Role of Teachers in the Implementation of NEP 2020" organised by Government Degree College Billawar in commemoration to Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. Prof Anil Kumar Verma was the organizing secretary of this webinar. Around 100 participants from different educational institutes have attended this programme online.
Dr. Renu Nanda, Dean Faculty of Education, University of Jammu was the Keynote speaker in this national webinar. Madam highlighted various key points for successful implementation of new education policy. Various points were discussed such as ensuring universal access at all levels of schooling, new curricular and pedagogical structure, establishing national mission on foundational literacy and numeracy, assessment reforms, equitable and inclusive education, robust and transparent processes for recruitment of teachers, availability of all resources through school complexes and clusters, setting up of State School Standards Authority, exposure of vocational education in school and higher education system and so on. The session was highly interactive. At the end of the program Prof. Lekh Raj, HOD Zoology gave formal vote of thanks. The whole programme was organised under the overall supervision of college Principal Prof. Anita Jamwal. She appreciated the great efforts of the college staff and participants for the successful completion of the programme.
