| GGM Science college organizes marathon | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 28: Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College organized Freedom Run as a part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
NSS and NCC units participated with full patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. The run started from at 6.30 AM from GGM Science College to Bus Stand- Indira Chowk- Jewel and back to the college. The Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo, NSS POs Dr. Deepali Mahajan & Dr. Narinder Kumar, NCC ANOs Dr. Anjana Sharma & Dr. Faraz Ahmed, Physical Director Dr. Vinod Bakshi and Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj joined today"s marathon along with more than 100 students. The NSS Volunteers and NCC Cadets of the college carrying placards of patriotic messages, banners chanted slogans and patriotic songs carrying the large size tri-colour national flag. The aura was filled with "BHARAT MATA KI JAI", " VANDE MATRAM", " SARE JAHAN SE ACCHA HINDUSTAN HMARA". In his message to the students Dr. RavenderTickoo said "Today let us take some time to value our nation and never forget the sacrifices. Let your spirits fly high with the Indian flag today and all times. Let us all pledge to protect the peace and unity of our great nation. We all have to collectively strive to make India vibrant and strong.
E- certificates were given to all the participants. Distict adminstrtion provided full support by providing security, medical team and traffic management along the route. Refreshment was provided to the students after completion of the run in the college campus. |
