JAMMU, Aug 29: Additional DGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh extended Janmashtami greetings to all citizens. While wishing them “Happy Janmashtami” he said: “May Lord Krishna shower all his blessings on you. May you get peace, prosperity and happiness in life and May all your dreams come true.”
This is a festival of fun and frolic which also teaches us that we should believe in God and should always fight against the wrong. On this auspicious occasion he exhorted everyone to take a pledge to fight the evil and the wrongs in the society.
J&K govt appoints officer to enquire anomalies in functioning of DMO
Jammu, Aug 29 (UNI) Almost a month after the Anti-Corruption Bureau had raided the office of the District Mining Officer, Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed an inquiry officer to enquire anomalies in the functioning of the office.
As per the government order, Incharge Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir, Nissar Ahmad has been appointed as Inquiry Officer to enquire into the anomalies in the functioning of District Mineral Officer Kathua as pointed out by Police Headquarters J&K, Jammu/Srinagar.
“The inquiry officer shall submit the enquiry report within a period of 15 days,” read an order.
Pertinent to mention here that the Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau on August 1, raided the office of District Geology and Mining Department Kathua and seized cash and the records.
The raiding team also recovered Rs 3 lakh in cash seized from the office.
He said that the ACB team also questioned the staff members and also alarmed some stone crusher owners who are operating illegally in Ravi and Ujh rivers.
