| JKSC celebrates national sports day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 29: J&K Sports Council (JKSC) and Hockey Jammu and Kashmir celebrated National sports day with zeal, & enthusiasm at KK HaKku Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, Jammu today on 29th September 2021.
On the occasion many sports activities were organized including matches of Hockey & football at different venues to spread the message of the hockey wizard Major Dhayan Chand among the players and youth of the J&K.
Divisional commissioner Jammu in his message stressed upon to Cultivate National character & moral values amoung the youth and players through sports.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal KAS Chief Accounts Officer of J&K Sports Council was the chief guest on the function organized at KK Hakku Astro Turf Hockey Stadium. Mr. Rajinder Singh Kuku General Secretary Hockey India was the guest of honour . While addressing the players present on the occasion Chief guest highlighted the Importance of the sports day and desired that every youth should remain unrest until goal is achieved. Later on an article written by Ashok Singh Div.sports Officer Jammu on the National sports day was unfolded by the chief guest who appreciated the contributions of the sports officer to make aware to all with pen & pencil.
Rajiv Sharma President Hockey J&K was of the opinion that only sports can channelize the energy of youth which can be used to make our India proud.
Earlier floral Tributes paid to Major Dhyan Chand Singh at the Major Dhyan Chand Singh memorial to commemorate National sports day.
Rajiv Sharma president Hockey J&k including his team and o esteemed members of other Associations & clubs and all players and coaches of different games, presented floral tributes to Major Dhyan chand Singh .
