Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 29: Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) has appealed to the Principal Secretary School Education Jammu Kashmir B .K. Singh to make a provision of Transfer policy in favour of Grade II &III ,3rd Teachers and Teachers appointed under Ret Scheme. Bhupinder Singh said that in 2005 the first batch of teachers engaged under the Rehbar-e-Taleem scheme became permanent as General Line Teacher since then we have been demanding transfer policy, Even High court had also issued Judgement for transfer policy in favour of these teachers, but no transfer policy has been made yet. Bhupinder Singh said that we do not want that all the teachers of the village should be transferred and brought to the cities, we know that we are engaged in every village of Jammu and Kashmir and are working hard for the last 21 years to raise the level of education, we have also given our services in different places whether BLO, census duties, election duty, etc , but the education department does not yet have a transfer policy for these teachers , especially for female teachers who married in other villages, tehsils and districts , Singh added . Singh also said that there are many schools where Students are too few and teachers are too many, by making a provision of Transfer policy for teachers appointed under Ret scheme the Students of Middle and high schools will get a lot of benefits.
Making a strong appeal, Singh said that keeping in mind the teachers and the students studying in the schools, such a transfer policy should be made in the interest of the teachers engaged under the Rehbar-e-Taleem scheme, so that the teachers and the Students may not suffer more.
Bhupinder Singh said that many governments have come and gone in Jammu and Kashmir, but the governments have only transferred their loved ones, but the common teacher is still struggling with the transfer policy, now the administration of Jammu and Kashmir is going on under the supervision of the Lieutenant Governor, it is expected that soon a transfer policy will be made in the interest of all the teachers engaged under the Rehbar-e-Taleem scheme.
