Jammu, Aug 29: Apni Party District Jammu Urban has expressed concern over the poor basic amenities in Jammu West assembly constituency.
In a meeting organised by Shardeesh Rana, General Secretary, Jammu District Urban at ward number 31 in Jammu West Assembly constituency, the District President, Jammu Urban, Pranav Shagotra who was presiding over the meeting, criticized the authorities for their failure in many developmental works.
“The people have raised their voice against the poor lane and drains in ward number 31 in Jammu West. The residents of the area have to face problems because of choked drains and unclean lanes,” said Shagotra in his address. He said that the basic amenities are poor and the authorities concerned have not been able to fulfill demands of the people.
“The people have alleged that the garbage remains scattered in the area and it is because of the hazardous atmosphere,” he said.
Shardeesh Rana, who also spoke on the occasion, further said that the electricity live wire is hanging with the poles in an inappropriate manner causing threat to the lives of the people.
“Recently, cattle had died due to the electricity, yet the wires were not replaced by the PDD department. The complaints often go unaddressed and the issues of the general public are not given any heed by the authorities,” he said.
On this occasion, many people joined the Apni Party and prominent among them include Pakshal Sangra, Ajit Dass, Deepak Raj, Rohit Mehta, Nanak Chand and others. The meeting was attended by Vice President, Vaibhav Mattoo, General Secretary, Atul Sharma, Secretary, Mohammed Ashraf, Secretary, Abhishek Goswami, Secretary, Mangal Singh Chib, Organizing Secretary, Deepak Bradu and others.
