Hoax Claims Exposed
8/29/2021 11:59:37 PM
Officials have been claiming that 100 percent population of the above 45-year group have been inoculated in Jammu district but the recent protest by the elderly people against the non availability of doses at the Red Cross Building at Kacchi Chowni in the heart of Jammu city on Saturday exposed the hoax claims of the authorities.
Protesters stated that they have been visiting the vaccination centers but they have to return disappointed. If the 100% population above the age group of 45-years has been vaccinated then why are elderly people staging protests? Helmsmen need to answer this question.
Experts have predicted that the third wave of COVID-19 is in the offing and if their predictions come true it could lead to return of difficult times once again. They have been stressing on the need to get everyone vaccinated, and it has been proven beyond doubt that vaccination holds the key to defeat the virus.
The officials who have been entrusted with the job to ensure that people get vaccinated should refrain from misleading Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and the Central Government by claiming that 100% of the population above 45-years has been vaccinated. By providing wrong information they are doing a big disservice that can ruin all the hard work of LG Sinha, who has been at the forefront in the war against COVID-19.
The Central Government has kept all the resources available and there is no shortage in supply. Then why J&K is facing the shortage of vaccines needs to be ascertained? Is it that artificial scarcity is being created or the helmsmen have become complacent and seem to be of the opinion that third wave won’t reach Jammu and Kashmir. Projecting wrong figures about the number of people being vaccinated can embarrass the government if the Covid third wave breaks out.
The Union Government needs to take note of the developments taking place in J&K. The officials who are taking the things lightly need to be pulled up and told clearly that the lackadaisical approach could put them in a soup. If they don’t mend their ways then the government needs to act and replace them. A few people seem to be on the mission to undo the good work. They have to realize that lies and wrong information won’t take them anywhere, today or tomorrow they will be held accountable.
