NDA holds meeting at Baglihar

RAMBAN, Sept 3: Nations Development Association (NDA) held a meeting at Baglihar Hydro Power Project District Ramban wherein Er. S.K Abrol Chief Engineer Baglihar Hydro Power Project, Executive Engineer (Technical Officer) Er. Ajay Talwar, Executive Engineer Er. K.S Jamwal, Former Executive Engineer Er. Surinder Devgodha and Rakesh Prajapati Social Activist.
Chief Engineer Er. S.K Abrol said that Baglihar Hydroelectric Power Project, is a run-of-the-river power project on the Chenab River in the Ramban District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The first power project executed by the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation, it was conceived in 1992 and approved in 1996, with construction begun in 1999. The project was estimated to cost US$1 billion. The project consists of two-stage of 450MW each. The first stage of the project was completed in 2008-09 and was dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh.The second stage of the project was completed in 2015-16, and was subsequently dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
Sushil Singh Charak Paryavaran Ratna Awarded and Chairman Nations Development Association ( NDA) said that the association is a social organizations that never takes funds or donations from anyone else. Sushil Singh Charak said that Nations Development Association (NDA) is working in different sectors and fields like Health, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Research and Evaluation, Women Empowerment and Skills Development and Youth Empowerment and Development,Child protection, Development Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Response, Education and Environmental Protection.
Sushil Singh Charak said, "I am very happy that these Er. S.K Abrol Chief Engineer Baglihar Hydro Power Project, Executive Engineer (Technical Officer) Er. Ajay Talwar, Executive Engineer Er. S.K Jamwal Former Executive Engineer Er. Surinder Devgodha officers and Rakesh Prajapati have become a guide of Baglihar Hydro Power Project District Ramban . I am thankful to them wholeheartedly and I look forward to it.
