Kathua Police apprehends history sheeter evading arrest for 10 years

JAMMU, Sept 3: District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal, on Friday apprehended an infamous history sheeter and notorious criminal wanted in and having nearly half dozen of FIRs of heinous offences and was evading his arrest from last 10 years. Police said, "On reliable information about the presence of aforesaid absconder, a police team led by Insp Sunil Sharma SHO P/S Billawar under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Arvind Kumar today apprehended notorious criminal Pawan Singh son of Nanak Chand resident of Dhanu Parol. "Police party of PS Billawar set the trap and was able to apprehend the above said accused who has been spreading terror in the whole area of Billawar." "Further investigation was set into the probe." "Pertinently the accused was evading his arrest in cases vide FIR No. 60/2012 U/S 392 RPC 4/25 Arms Act and FIR No. 71/2017 U/S 341/323/363/342/376/34/RPC in the JD of PS Billawar, Police said. Police spokesperson added that the said criminal was involved in case FIR No. 28/2005 U/S 302/RPC and remained in jail for 5 years whereas he was evading his arrest after the commission of offence in case FIR No. 60/2012 U/S 392/RPC 4/25 Arms Act. "A police team of PS Billawar was sent to arrest the said criminal which was attacked by this criminal with sharp edge weapons with the help of two accomplice namely Joginder Singh and Anil Kumar of Ramkot for which another case vide FIR No. 39/2021 U/S 353/332/IPC, 4/25/ Arms Act stands registered in the said Police Station." Police said, " Whereas his history sheet was also opened in the year 2018 and now his name was entered in Register No.10."
