Udhampur, Sept 3: Senior Red Cross Society Volunteer Udhampur Rakesh Singh concluded awareness campaign regarding Telemedicine Consultation facility which is online patient consultation system through videoconferencing.
During this 3 day awareness campaign Rakesh Singh covered more than 400 Shops and 200 Houses to aware the general public about it's procedure to register and it's benefits particularly during Covid-19 pandemic ." It is a initiative of our Dynamic Worthy District Development Commissioner madam Indu kanwal Chib which has revolutionised the whole scenario of Health sector of Udhampur by introducing this facility for the welfare of general public who cannot travel long distance due to lockdown during Corona period or due to any other reason ,they can reach to their doctors online through their mobile" Singh added.
While sensitizing the public ,Singh said that it is most beneficial to those public who reside in far flung areas and lack road connectivity during rainy seasons and it will also save their money of bus fair including lodging and boarding near the vicinity of the hospital who came for check-up here. Replying to query of one highly educated youth Sohan Lal who are still ignorant about this facility Singh said that by opening the link ors.gov.in we have to select our state ,then click on Teleconsultation appointment which shows names of several hospitals, by clicking on hospital of our choice we have to verify our Phone no and then our Adhar No at last we got E-slip of our confirmation appointment. Then on fixed date we receive call from Doctor who through videoconference check us and recommend medicine through E-slip which can be received through our mail. Rakesh Singh also urged Director School Education Jammu to direct all IC Red Cross Society of Schools to aware all students of school regarding this facility so that they further aware about it to rural public at gross root level.
