| CDPO Jammu organises camp on Poshan Abhiyan | | |

Jammu, Sept 29: An awareness camp on Poshan Abhiyan was organised in Christian Colony area by CDPO Jammu, Akanksha Kalsotra. The camp was organised in context of ongoing Poshan Mah (1 -30 September) and in the said Camp, Dy Mayor JMC Smt. Purnima Sharma, Ex. MLA Rajesh Gupta, Father of Church ( Religious leader) Corporator Ward No. 5 Gopal Gupta , Medical Officer ICDS Dr. Rimpy Sangral* and other officials of ICDS Project Jammu were present. CDPO Jammu delivered special lecture on balanced diet and significance of local regional food. Adv Purnima Sharma also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of ICDS team, who have organised several such outreach camps in different areas. Special lecture on Anaemia prevention was delivered by Dr. Rimpy.
Also, Growth Monitoring of children was carried out.
Medical Supplements and nutrition kits distribution to Pregnant ladies and nursing mothere was also done. |
