Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 29: On the eve of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s four-day visit to Jammu, the eminent artist Naresh Sharma recalled his earlier tour in J&K when Bhagwat’s specially visited Sharma’s family.
“It was a memorable moment of my life when RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat Ji visited our home. It was an honour for our family”, Naresh Sharma told The Early Times and revealed that during his earlier visit to Jammu, the RSS chief had decided to have a meal with our family.
“Our family members especially our children were impressed by the simplicity of RSS chief, who is heading the world’s largest organization”, he recalled and added, “Being an artist I specially organized a musical event in the honour of the RSS chief”.
Naresh’s family has strong RSS background. His elder brother Harsh Kumar was a Sangh Parcharak in Himachal Pradesh. After serving the organization as Parcharak, Harsh Kumar also worked as a sub-editor in the Organizer. Harsh Kumar died at a young age.
“As our elder brother worked under Mohan Bhagwat Ji as Parcharak, RSS chief made it a point to visit our home during his earlier visit to Jammu”, Naresh said.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will kickstart his four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from Thursday. The Sangh chief’s visit assumes significance as it will be Bhagwat’s maiden visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A.
During his visit to J&K, Bhagwat will interact with the RSS volunteers to get first-hand knowledge of the role played by the Sangh workers during the first and second waves of the COVID-19 pandemic.
RSS has maintained that the Sangh workers played a very important role in helping people during the coronavirus outbreak. Bhagwat will be seeking feedback from the RSS volunteers who worked tirelessly during the COVID pandemic.
The RSS chief will preside over several in-house organisational meetings with the Sangh's Jammu and Kashmir unit
On October 2, he will address a seminar at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University.
Bhagwat will also review the ongoing projects initiated by the Sangh in Jammu and Kashmir in various fields, including Sewa (service), education, public awareness, health, rural development, ecology, water conservation, social equality, etc.
Bhagwat will address RSS volunteers across Jammu and Kashmir through video conferencing on October 3. He is also scheduled to meet Pracharaks as well as with selected dignitaries of the Union Territory.
Every year, RSS Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryavah travel to all the provinces of the country to meet the Paracharaks and dignitaries. Bhagwat had visited Jammu in the year 2016.
During his visit to Jammu, the RSS chief is likely to visit the residence of J&K Sanghchalak, Brig (Retd) Suchait Singh, who is not feeling well for the last some time.
