Ramgarh organizes online poster making competition

SAMBA, Sept 29: In continuation to the sequel of events organized under the banner of "Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav" Government Degree College Ramgarh celebrates "Gandhi Jyanti" through online mode to commemorate the 151st Birth Anniversary of the great patriot Mahatma Gandhi.
To celebrate the day Online Poster making competition on Gandhiji's life and thoughts was organized by Dr. Shamsher Lal in which a large number of students participated from different institutions of the Nation. The first position was clinched by Sonia Dogra, B.A. Sem-VI, Govt. PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar second position was secured by Abhi Kumar, B.A. Sem-V, Govt. Degree College Ramgarh and third position was bagged by Neeraj Sharma, B.A. Sem-II, Govt. Degree College Vijaypur. Principal of the college Dr. Meeru Abrol expressed delight to see the volunteers participate whole-heartedly through online activities during the tough and extremely sensitive times. In her address she said," Gandhi Jyanti is a celebrated like a festival, which honors our father of Nation. This unity is more prominent on such days". She further added that our nation emphasis on inclusive growth, transparency and honesty in public life health care support to the poor, support to the farmers and effective utilization of resources is in keeping with the thoughts of Gandhiji's.
