GDC Basholi organises seminar on "Gandhian Philosophy"

KATHUA, Sept 29: GDC, Basohli under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", is going to celebrate 152nd Gandhi Jayanti by organizing a series of events, fixing a theme for each day. On 29th of September 2021, a seminar on the theme - "Conflict and Peace: Gandhian Philosophy" was organized by the 4th Battalian, NCC, J&K of the college, under the patronage of Principal, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal. The event commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp and floral tribute to the father of nation. On the occasion Dr. Gotam Singh briefed the event and highlighted the major events and aspects of Gandhain life. Later, Dr. Kotwal addressed the house and enlightened the students with her thoughts and threw light on the early life of the Mahatma Gandhi. She also encouraged the students to disseminate the message of peace and non-violence and motivated them to equip themselves with skills l to generate jobs for themselves and others. Students participated and spoke on the topic and shared their thoughts on the theme. Prof. Pawan Kumar also spoke on the occasion and stressed upon inculcating the values of Mahatma Gandhi in real life for the building of a strong nation.
