GPGCW Gandhi Nagar celebrates NSS Foundation Day

JAMMU, Sept 29: NSS Unit of Government P.G. College for Women, Gandhinagar celebrated NSS Foundation day by organizing a colorful Cultural Bonanza.
The Chief Guest of the programme was Principal of the College Dr. Sangita Nagari and Guest of Honour was Dr. Indu Khajuria. The Special Guests were NSSPO'S- Prof. Mala Bhasin, Dr. Monika Hans and Ex NSS Volunteers of 2017 Batch.
The Programme started with the welcome address by Volunteer Riya Choudhary followed by the speech of Gunjan who spoke on the role and responsibilities of NSS Volunteers.
Ambika, Gunjan and Shriya sung NSS song melodiously. Nirmaljeet and Shriya rocked the stage with their mesmerizing dance performance. The Ex NSS volunteers Priya and Devpriya also shared their experience about their journey as volunteers. Sr. NSS volunteer Surbi Singh while sharing her experience said that working in NSS has transformed her life, now she is much more confident to face any problem in the life.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College congratulated NSSPO'S and Volunteers and said that the primary objective of NSS is developing the leadership qualities, democratic attitude and character building of student through Community Service. Dr. Indu Khajuria also appreciated the volunteers and highlighted their role during Covid-19 Pandemic.
NSS Programme Officer Prof. Mala Bhasin thanked the volunteers for organising wonderful event. She advised the volunteers to continue to work with same zeal, active energy and high spirit for the welfare of mankind as it is what the NSS logo on the Red Valvet NSS cake reflects.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Komal and the event was coordinated by Riya Choudhary.
